Lorenzo maintains top spot in a hot FP2 in Jerez

Jorge Lorenzo is determined to bounce back to form in his home turf and has topped both practice sessions in Friday at Jerez. Lorenzo started FP2 with the hard tyre but switched to medium compound as the track temperature rose up and lap times dropped down.

None of the riders were faster than their FP1 lap times and session went on a low pace. Injured Marc Marquez bounced back to clock 2nd fastest behind the Yamaha rider while the Ducatis of Iannone and Dovizioso followed the Honda rider.

Valentino Rossi decided to run for a full race distance simulation with the hard tyres and came in just 13th fastest.
